Since 1999 the Museum has been arranged in a new exhibition sequence, with explanatory texts (in several languages) and drawings that reconstruct the monuments in their different stages.
Only 9 km far from Paestum there is a completely new Museum which offers the visitor a journey back in times: it’s the Museo narrante dell’Heraion of Foce Sele, arranged in a farmhouse of the early 1900s, skillfully restored and located in an evocative natural landscape.
Very rich and varied is the accommodation offer: numerous and welcoming hotels, camp sites, resorts and residences allow tourists to enjoy also the beautiful and sandy beach that stretches for more than 12 km.
Every year Azienda Turismo organizes several events, conferences and theatre or music performances.
The place is particularly famous for its typical products: mozzarella di bufala and artichoke. There is an annual artichoke Festival that, in a festive atmosphere, offers a variety of traditional dishes of the local cuisine.
